When I was settling in and preparing to speak with Layla, I did what I always do before a call—I set the intention that our energies would connect harmoniously, and I intuitively ‘left my energy’s door open a crack’ to invite her presence in.
OMG: Layla Saad’s presence came rushing in immediately like a tsunami of sovereignty, personal power, and deep, deep love! I actually started crying because she hit me that hard (in a good way)… and then I needed to clean up my non-waterproof mascara in time to hop online with her, haha. 😉
If you do not already follow Layla’s work online, I cannot encourage you enough to do it, do it, DO IT! (All the links to follow her are below.) Layla writes and shares courageously, truthfully, and oftentimes uncomfortably, and her work has been a huge catalyst in opening my eyes to white privilege and white supremacy—not to mention the eyes of over a hundred thousand others. She’s amazing.
I truly believe that Layla’s soul work operates on multiple levels at once.
Yes, you will likely feel incredibly inspired, moved, and called into action by what she says, but you will also be affected, activated, and illuminated by the energetics of how she says it. Simply being in her energetic presence is healing in itself, so you are in for a real treat with this interview!
In this interview with the radiant Layla Saad, we delve into topics like:
- Navigating the perceived need to choose between being religious and being intuitive—and then recognizing that it’s possible to be both at the same time!
- Ego hacks—Layla shares some seriously clever tips she uses to get out of her own way, so she can be a clear and open channel for her intuition. (I’ve borrowed a number of them already, and they’re flippin’ genius.)
- The importance of taking action on whatever intuitive insights you receive. (We tend to focus only on wanting to get the insights, but it’s equally—if not more—important to do something with them when they come through.)
- Tending to your energetic container: self-care, boundary work, and energetic hygiene as non-negotiable practices when stepping into your soul’s work in a big way
