I am overjoyed to be sharing my conversation with Lindsay Mack from Wild Soul Healing! I have admired Lindsay’s work for ages and know that you might already be familiar with her Tarot For The Wild Soul podcast and online teachings. (And if you’re not: consider this a gigantic ‘yer welcome’ for introducing you to this Queen!)

Real talk:

When I first started my intuitive business in 2015, I often found my admiration for Lindsay’s work slipping into toxic and not-so-fun feelings of comparison and being ‘less than’ her. Ugh. Intellectually, I knew that I shouldn’t (and couldn’t) measure my own journey against hers, but energetically and emotionally, I’d still get jealous. (Not like all-consuming envy, but stealthy and gnawing feelings of somehow being ‘behind’ or ‘not as good as’ this shining star nonetheless.)

One of my favourite qualities of Lindsay’s is her refreshing candidness and her willingness to tell it like it is—straight up. Although she is extremely warm, compassionate, and kind, Lindsay also doesn’t sugarcoat the truth or skirt around naming and untangling things like shame, jealousy, or feelings of unworthiness.

We talked about jealousy in our conversation.

We touched on the stereotype of the ‘intuitive healer’, too, and we started unpacking how to deal with not fitting into the standard lightworker model or feeling like there’s not really enough (love, success, clients, money, or opportunities) to go around.

This conversation is seriously epic, and I could have spent the whole night riffing with Lindsay on anything and everything! You can see in the video that it was starting to get late in her time zone, though, so we eventually wrapped up, but not before exploring juicy and electric topics like:

  • Comparison as a blessed gateway into shadow work and connecting with your inner child

  • The role of the brain and the nervous system in intuition

  • Digital detoxes and the freedom that can come from deleting social media apps off your phone (but panic first. Panic and then freedom… eventually.)

  • How that ‘thing’ or issue that you think you need to fix before you can start connecting with your guides is actually the swiftest pathway to connecting with your guides. (Go there first, and go there now.)
